Having updated the sites to the latest version of WordPress, and updated the shopping cart module, I took the lack of any “We’ve changed settings – you need to modify your setup” as just that – hence the utter garbage shown to you at the end of the checkout process and a broken link  to PayPal. I’ve got the current orders logged, and if you could be so kind as to manually pay me through Paypal that would be much appreciated.

That will teach me to trust programmers!
